We can provide Building Warranties of Fitness to verify our customers have met all of the required maintenance, inspection, and reporting procedures.
Certificates of Compliance
We ensure our customers have all the necessary certifications. For example, Grammar Electrical™ is qualified to provide Certificates of Compliance. This is required when new or additional wiring is installed. We also provide Electrical Safety Certificates. These are legally recognized statements that certify compliance with building codes.
Adherence to Regulations
The Electrical Workers Registration Board promotes safety for all New Zealanders by ensuring the competence of electrical workers. This organisation publishes a complete set of regulations, rules, and guidelines governing industry safety. Grammar Electrical™ adheres to all EWRB standards for installations and appliances.
An “Independent Qualified Person” is required to ensure buildings adhere to compliance regulations. Grammar Electrical™ can provide IQP checks on a monthly and the required yearly basis. We can also provide Form 12 certificates and will manage the process to secure these documents from other IQPs.

We pride ourselves on providing a prompt and efficient call-out system. Unlike some providers, when you phone us you won’t get a call centre – you will reach a member of our small team who work directly with the electricians out on the road. We offer a regular maintenance service (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) where you will only be charged if there is work to be done, in addition to an emergency call-out service with staggered rates depending on required response time. (Critical 1 Hour response, Urgent 3 Hour Response, Standard 6 hour response, or NonUrgent). If your office lighting is on an automatic switch, we will take responsibility for ensuring that the Time Clocks/Time Switches are in line with the changes that come twice a year with daylight savings.
Most of our day-to-day lighting maintenance is part of a scheduled system where your company is allocated a regular electrician who gets to know your site and security procedures, leaving your team to do what they do best.
All electricians are registered with a current practising license and can complete any additional electrical work while on-site if required. All the vehicles are fully stocked with your most frequently used lamps, so they can be changed straight away, which means you won’t have to pay for an additional trip for them to stock up their vehicle.
